This is the process for an illustration of a digital illustration of a spooky tree house in a swamp.

This is the initial sketch for the illustration. I liked the idea of the tree house being in a swamp but then it occurred to me that a bridge would be necessary in the design or else everyone would have to travel to the house by boat.
Here is the rough value sketch for the illustration. I block out the areas that I wanted darker and added more detail to the tree.
This is the final version of the illustration. I kept to a greenish color scheme with a few warmer elements. In this illustration I tried to focus on creating a sense of whimsy in a spooky environment.
